How long
will it take to back up my files?
Your first back-up may take some time. File Preserver will
actually scan your hard drive looking for the most commonly
used folders such as My Documents, Favorites, My Pictures,
My Music, Outlook and others. Then, it will guide you through
an easy process to help you decide which files to back up.
An automatic log window will show
you what files are being scanned for back-up and what it
will cost. File Preserver also gives you the option to customize
your back-up by selecting only the specific files you want.
Once the initial back-up is complete, subsequent back-ups
will be much faster since File Preserver will only back-up
any changes detected since your last session. Back

up multiple PCs with one File Preserver account?

laptop, as many computers as you want. When you download
and install the program on a new computer File Preserver
uses your email address you enter in the Account Set Up
to link all of PC’s files to one account. File Preserver

have stored on each PC in your account. Since there is no

space you use. Back to Top
What if
I have a dial-up Internet connection?
While File Preserver works well with dial-up Internet, the
connection speed controls the duration of the back-up process.
Since dial up is much slower, the first back-up could take
quite a while. Please be patient and know that it will get
done. Afterward, subsequent back-ups will be significantly
faster since File Preserver only backs up any changes detected
since your last session. Back

The storage space you use every day is averaged over a month
at a cost of only 1¢ per MB. Your bill is determined

shown on screen. You can change these costs by selecting
or deselecting certain file types. With File Preserver,
